Priya Guha

Priya has been a British diplomat for 20 years serving in Spain, India and most recently the USA where she was the British Consul General to San Francisco.  In that role she led the UK Government’s operations in the Northwestern United States, strengthening political, economic, trade and people-to-people ties.  Focusing on supporting transatlantic business, she assisted US technology companies expanding internationally into Europe and UK companies expanding into and seeking funding from the US market, as well as promoting the UK to the media and other influential local audiences.  As the first female British Consul General, Priya used her platform to support women in business, bringing out two delegations of UK female tech entrepreneurs to Silicon Valley in collaboration with Silicon Valley Comes to the UK.  In her previous roles, Priya specialised in Indian politics and the UK-India relationship, the European Union and communications.

Priya holds a BA (Hons) degree in Social and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge (Christ’s College).
